Community Guidelines
Last updated
Pookeez is a place for real people to find real connections. These guidelines keep it safe, kind and catfish-free. Break them and you may lose your account.
1. Be real
Everyone on Pookeez is verified. Keep it that way.
- One person, one account. No fake, duplicate, shared or bought accounts.
- Your photos, your face. Your main photo must clearly show you, alone. No celebrities, cartoons, AI-generated faces or other people's photos.
- Be honest. Use your real first name or a name you go by, and your real age. Don't lie about your relationship status, job or intentions.
- Verify for real. Never try to trick the ID or selfie check, or verify on someone else's behalf.
- Keep your profile clean. No phone numbers, social handles, links or ads in your bio or photos. Share contact details in chat only when you choose to.
2. Be kind and respectful
Treat people the way you'd want your best friend to be treated.
- No harassment. No threats, insults, bullying, stalking, or messaging someone again after they've stopped replying, unmatched or blocked you.
- Consent comes first. Never send sexual messages, photos or videos to someone who hasn't clearly said yes. A match is not consent.
- Never share private content. Don't screenshot or share someone's photos, messages or personal details outside Pookeez without their permission. Sharing intimate images without consent is a crime.
- No hate. No content that attacks people for their religion, caste, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or appearance.
- Respect a no. "Not interested" is a full answer. Don't pressure, guilt-trip or argue.
- Keep it clean in public. No nudity, sexual content, or graphic or violent images on your profile.
3. Keep it safe and legal
These break the law or put people at risk. They lead to an immediate ban and, where needed, a report to the police.
- 18+ only. Anyone under 18 is not allowed on Pookeez. Any content sexualising minors is reported to authorities.
- No money talk. Never ask for or send money, gifts, crypto, investment tips or bank details. If someone asks, it's a scam: report them.
- No selling. No promoting businesses, products, events, followers, other apps or paid services, and no sex work or solicitation.
- No violence or illegal activity. No threats of violence, weapons, drugs, trafficking or anything else illegal.
- No self-harm content. If you or someone you're talking to is struggling, reach out to a trusted person or a local helpline. In an emergency, call 112.
- Don't game the app. No bots, scripts, mass-liking, fake referrals or abuse of rewards and credits.
4. Meeting up, reporting and enforcement
4.1 Meeting someone IRL
- Chat on Pookeez first and video call before you meet.
- Meet somewhere busy and public, like a café, and get there and back on your own.
- Tell a friend where you're going, who with, and when you'll check in.
- Stay in control of your drink and your belongings.
- Leave whenever you want. You don't owe anyone a second date, or the rest of the first one.
4.2 Report and block
If someone breaks these guidelines, makes you uncomfortable or seems fake, report them from their profile or your chat. Reports are confidential: the person is never told who reported them. Blocking hides you from each other straight away.
Our team reviews every report. For anything urgent or dangerous, also contact the police on 112.
4.3 What happens when rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may:
- remove the content and send a warning;
- limit features or hide the profile;
- suspend the account;
- permanently ban the person, including blocking them from re-verifying a new account;
- report them to the police where the law requires or someone is at risk.
If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal by writing to [SUPPORT EMAIL] within 30 days.
These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service. We'll update them as Pookeez grows.
